CHARACTERISTICS: White lyophilized cakes or powder

INDICATIONS: Hormonic medicine. It is mainly used to treat sexual dysfunction, habitual abortion, ovarian cyst, etc. It is also can be used for spawning induction of silver and bighead carps.

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION: Give by intramuscular injection. Single-dose for horses and cattle: 1000-5000 IU; For sheep: 100-500 IU; For pigs: 500-1000 IU; For dogs: 25-300 IU. Give 2-3 times a week.

PHARMACOLOGY: Chorionic Gonadotrophin has Follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) and Luteinising hormone (LH) activity. It stimulates the corpus luteum to produce progesterone and promote ovulation in female animals. It has no effect on immature follicles. In male animals, it stimulates the production of gonadal steroid hormones by stimulating the interstitial cells of the testis to produce androgens and leads to the development of primary and secondary male sex characteristics and maturation. It can stimulate testicular descent of cryptorchid when no anatomical impediment to descent is present.

PRECAUTIONS:(1) Not suitable for long-term application, so as not to produce antibodies and inhibit pituitary gonadotrophic function.

(2) Reconstituted solution is extremely unstable and heat-labile, so it should be used up in a short time.
